If you don't know where you're going, any path will take you there.

In our advancement professions, this statement has never been more accurate. There are hundreds of new approaches to advancement, some a flash in the pan, some merely a twist on a tried and true method. Whether you are a seasoned advancement professional or new to the discipline, maintaining effective programs while staying on top of the latest and greatest trends can be extremely challenging!

One of the best ways to sort through the explosion of advancement information is by attending the NAADA conference at the University of Georgia on June 6 - 9, 2010. You'll hear first-hand from advancement colleagues around the US what has worked for them and what has not. Education sessions are being planned that will help you sort through the trends in social networking, identify new ways to approach prospective students, and recognize new opportunities for tapping into the philanthropic nature of our clientele. The NAADA conference can help you navigate the information explosion and hone in on what will work for you and your institution.

Themed "Unleash Your Potential," the NAADA 2010 conference on June 6 - 9 in Athens, Georgia will not only help you figure out where you are going, but will also help you find the path that will take you there.

Keynote Speakers

Ronda Rich
Ronda Rich is the best-selling author of What Southern Women Know (That Every Woman Should), a book that is now in its 27th printing, after being bought by a major New York publishing company during a four-day auction.

That book launched a new career for the former award-winning sports writer, who has now become a popular Southern sage, dispensing musings and observations in her weekly, syndicated newspaper column and speaking at over 100 events each year as a humorous and inspirational speaker. She is also a commentator on Southern life for Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Continuing her successful streak as a writer of Southern stories, her most recent book, What Southern Women Know About Flirting and her critically-acclaimed first novel, The Town That Came A-Courtin’, were both released by Penguin-Putnam together, marking the first time in history that an author has released two books on the same day. The Town That Came A-Courtin’ has recently been courted by Hollywood and optioned for a movie.

She has appeared on dozens of television shows including The View, Best Damn Sports Show and CNN. She has also appeared in many magazines including Cosmopolitan, Redbook and Woman’s Own.

Gregg Bevier
Gregg joined the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in June 2009. He is in Agricultural Development and on the Market Access team as a Senior Program Officer responsible for livestock grants.

Gregg has twenty-seven years of experience as a business executive and has managed an international genetics business (PIC), an integrated livestock operation (Premium Standard Farms) and a division of a global animal health business for Merial. Gregg has also helped St. Matthew’s University, School of Veterinary Medicine establish a clinical program for fourth year students. He has been involved with assisting entrepreneurs in crop biopesticides, livestock vaccines, genetically modified rice and livestock imaging technology.

Gregg is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Agriculture Science, M.S. in Animal Science, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and an MBA. He has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois.
