First and second place awards will be given for each of the three NAADA track areas in five competition divisions. The Print Media Division is divided into further categories — awards will be given in each of the categories. In any of the divisions if there is not at least two submissions in a track area, the Publications and Projects Competition Committee reserves the right to combine track areas for the respective division. Publications, projects, and events produced/held between March 2009 and February 2010 are eligible for the 2010 Competition.
Division: Multimedia Areas: Alumni, Development, and Student Programs The Multimedia section includes electronic format media such as websites, electronic newsletters, DVDs, animation, and podcasts. Materials will be evaluated based on (1) information design, (2) graphics/ photography, (3) adaptability, (4) interactivity, (5) accessibility, (6) innovation/creativity, and (7) budget. Password protected or confidential websites cannot be submitted. Multimedia submissions must be sent on DVD or CD, and URLs (if applicable) provided to the associated sites.

The Print Media Competition includes publications such as newsletters, brochures, reports and informational materials. Print Media submissions will be evaluated based on: (1) concept, (2) writing, (3) design, (4) photos/graphics, (5) print quality, and (6) budget. Use one form per entry.
Division: Campaign/Series Areas:Alumni, Development, and Student Programs The Campaign/Series division includes publications/projects involving two or more collateral pieces in various formats. Submissions will be evaluated based on (1) coherent identity and message, (2) design and content synergy, (3) creativity and originality, (4) distribution strategy, (5) impact/effectiveness of communicating the mission of the publication/project, and (6) budget. Use one form per entry.
Division: Event and Promotional Materials Areas:Alumni, Development, and Student Programs The Event and Promotional Materials division includes materials used to promote a program, event, college, organization, or activity for which there is not a fit under the Print Media division. Examples include advertisements, posters, invitations, ads, t-shirts, specialty items, calendars, and flyers. Materials will be evaluated based on their (1) concept, (2) design, (3) photos/graphics, (4) print quality, (5) effectiveness of content/message, and (6) budget. Use one form per entry.
Division: Event Program Areas:Alumni, Development, and Student Programs The Event Program division is specific to a single alumni, development, college or organization event and the planning, execution and evaluation associated with the event. Events will be evaluated based on their (1) scope, (2) impact, (3) participation, (4) outcomes, (5) uniqueness of concept, and (6) budget. Use one form per entry.
Division: Society Programming Areas:Alumni, Development and Student Programs The Society Programming includes programs within a college or organization that build pride and spirit involving societies, boards and associations between students and alumni. The Society Programming will be evaluated based upon: (1) scope, (2) impact, (3) participation, (4) representation, (5) effectiveness and (6) uniqueness of concept.
