NAADA was created to:
- Enhance professional pride and ethics.
- Promote and enhance the image of the agricultural and natural resource industry.
- Create an environment that encourages professional development.
- Serve as a catalyst for the exchange of ideas and information to advance alumni, development and student services work in agriculture and natural resources.
- Provide members with information on current educational issues and concerns that affect agricultural institutions’ alumni, development programs and student affairs and to encourage appropriate actions regarding these issues and concerns.
- Assist and encourage the continued growth and improvement of educational opportunities in agriculture and related areas and to assist and encourage students to pursue career interests in agriculture, natural resources and related areas.
- Foster student interaction with NAADA and promote and develop student participation in its programs as appropriate.
- Cooperate with appropriate institutions, corporations, organizations and individuals to accomplish the goals of NAADA.
- Recognize agricultural alumni, development and student affairs professionals and volunteers who exemplify outstanding service.
Membership in NAADA
Membership and partnership options:
- Institutional Membership is open to agricultural colleges and alumni organizations within the 1862, 1890 and 1994 land-grant institutions, plus institutions holding membership in APLU having agricultural, forestry and natural resources programs.
- Organizational Partnership is open to national honorary, social, and professional fraternal organization, and national agricultural/commodity organizations and agencies as approved by the NAADA Board of Directors
- Corporate Partnership is open to those businesses involved in agriculture and natural resources as approved by the NAADA Board of Directors
- Associate Membership is open to those individuals who are (a) retired professional staff in advancement, alumni or student professional positions at NAADA institutions, (b) volunteers who wish to remain on the NAADA mailing list, (c) student participants from prior years who want to retain contact with NAADA, and (d) individual friends of NAADA.
