Jane Longley-Cook Volunteer Service Award, National Nomination 2010

Eligibility
Any individual must have significant volunteer service to the national NAADA organization shall be eligible for the Jane Longley-Cook Volunteer Service Award. Volunteers must be nominated by a NAADA member institution for this award.

Description
The NAADA Awards Committee shall solicit and receive nominations for this award. The committee may select one recipient annually. The recipient will be recognized at the annual awards banquet held during the national conference June 6-9, 2010, in Athens, GA. The recipient will be selected sufficiently in advance to encourage attendance at the awards banquet.

Qualifications
A nominee should:

  • Have given freely of his/her time to further the goals of NAADA on a national basis.
  • Have demonstrated the ability to lead and organize.
  • Have demonstrated the desire to inspire and encourage others to support NAADA.

Selection criteria

Leadership roles, 20 percent - Provide leadership roles or offices held in the national NAADA organization. *

Impact of Service and Time Commitment to NAADA, 25 percent- Describe the nature and impact of this individual’s volunteer service to the national NAADA organization. *

Spokesperson for NAADA, 15 percent - Describe how the nominee has been a spokesperson for the national NAADA organization. *

Other Activities and Leadership Roles, 15 percent - Name other activities and leadership roles in the member institution’s agricultural programs including offices held in alumni, development, and/or student relations organizations. Include honors and awards received for alumni, development, and/or student relations activities. *
