NAADA Connections

From the President

Jamie Lucero, NAADA President

Summer break has arrived on campuses across the country. When student move out is complete and the diplomas are all distributed, the first thing I look forward to every year is the NAADA conference.

The team at Ohio State has a phenomenal week planned for us. I’m especially excited about the new interactions they have incorporated into the schedule such as a community service project and networking walks. These new experiences along with the outstanding line up of sessions put together by the education committee will create a perfect venue for what we do best at NAADA - learn from each other and build networks and friendships.

The schedule has been rearranged a bit to encourage full participation in all sessions while providing ample time for networking. Our excursions away from the hotel are close in proximity. The Short North area of Columbus will be a treat for social interactions and art lovers.

The publications and projects committee has worked hard this year to continue to improve the process of collecting submissions, seeking professionals outside of NAADA to serve as judges, and to raise the visibility of these awards by presenting them throughout the conference.

Time is running out to take advantage of the early bird registration rates. Don’t delay – get your team registered today! Be timely and come ready to be inspired to make positive changes at your institution!

Many thanks to everyone who is working so hard to make this year’s conference possible!

I look forward to seeing you there!
